Hola chicos. Antes de nada, me gustaría disculparme por no escribir mucho estos días, pero tanto Verba Vetera como yo no hemos tenido tiempo para hacerlo. Hemos tenido estos días muchos trabajos, exámenes y estrés en general, algunos todavía incluso siguen en ello. Por suerte para todos el jueves será nuestro último día ya en las aulas y podremos relajarnos y hacer posts más frecuentemente.
¡Ahora sí, vamos allá!
En esta entrada vamos a mencionar algunas de las más curiosas y graciosas anécdotas, dentro del ámbito musical clásico, por supuesto. Algunas parecen ficticias, inventadas, sin sentido, pero sí, parezca más o menos cierto, ocurrieron. Indagando en algún libro de casa y por la amplia información de internet he podido encontrar más de 50 curiosidades. En este post sólo mencionaré 10 que, aunque sean menos de la mitad, os aseguro que vale la pena leerlas. ¿Sabías que...?
1.
Pulcinella, una obra del famoso compositor Scarlatti, fue escrita después de que su gato, llamado así como la composición, caminase por el teclado de su piano.
2. La London Symphony Orchestra tenía reserva para viajar en la inauguración del Titanic, pero cambió finalmente su barco en el último minuto.
3. Don Giovanni sedujo a lo largo de su vida a 1001 mujeres españolas, 640 italianas , 231 alemanas, 100 francesas y a 91 turcas: parece que el hombre no se aburrió.
4. El traje de ópera más caro de la historia lo llevó Adelina Patti en su actuación en Covent Garden, 1895. Costaba 15 millones de libras esterlinas, aproximadamente.
5. Los grandes compositores también sienten miedo. Se sabe a ciencia cierta que Schubert era muy tímido. Pero tímido hasta tal punto de que cuando terminaba una audición, por poco público que hubiese, siempre salía corriendo sin decir absolutamente nada a nadie.
6. Stravinski, un hombre peculiar pero gran compositor. Sufría de una hipocondría severa. Se dedicaba a visitar a cada uno de los médicos de cada una de las ciudades que visitaba, nunca faltaba. Es más, cuando su hijo enfermó de apendicitis, hizo que le extirparan su apéndice y el de sus otros dos hijos.
7.Las cuatro primeras notas de la Quinta Sinfonía de Beethoven fueron utilizadas en las transmisiones radiofónicas de la Segunda Guerra Mundial para animar, dado que en el código Morse tres puntos y una raya (tres notas cortas y una larga) equivalen a la «V», es decir, «Victoria».
8. El piano es un instrumento que suele usarse dos manos para ser tocado, a veces 4. Ravel, para ayudar a un alumno suyo que había perdido una mano durante la guerra, compuso una obra para exclusivamente la mano izquierda, en honor a su amigo.
9.El número 13 acompañó a Wagner en muchas situaciones de su vida. Nació en el año 1813, murió un 13 de febrero. Compuso 13 óperas y el teatro en donde estuvo por primera vez al frente de una orquesta se inauguró un 13 de septiembre.
10. Mencionando antes a Beethoven, comentamos en esta última curiosidad una anécdota que les asmobrará a algunos. Y es que el famoso compositor, un día de verano, va paseando, por el campo, a las afueras de la ciudad ; siente demasiado calor, se quita la mayor parte de la ropa, la cuelga en su bastón y ... sigue paseando medio desnudo, como si nada hubiese sucedido.
Como habéis podido observar son curiosos hechos que sin duda dejarán a muchos con la boca abierta. ¿Quien imaginaría a Schubert corriendo después de un concierto, o a Beethoven desnudo por el campo? Sin duda son anécdotas graciosas. Y ya que ahora sabéis unas cuantas, son perfectas para impresionar a vuestros familiares en la cena de Nochebuena y pasar un buen rato, que por cierto, he de comentaros que Verba Vetera y yo estamos preparando algo especial para las fechas que vienen, así que atentos esta semanita, porque Papá Noel también visita nuestro blog!
